???ぎ?? Of the top 25 brands in the world, the number owned/partially owned by the key multinational companies are: British American Tobacco - 6; Philip Morris - 5; RJR - 5; JTI - 3; Rothmans - 2; Reemtsma - 1.

???ぎ?? Marlboro remains the dominant global brand with sales three times higher than its nearest rival, Mild Seven.

???ぎ?? State Express 555 achieved the highest growth rate in 1996 (+28.7%). Philip Morris's L&M and Bond Street also experienced strong growth in 1996 fuelled by further progress in Eastern Europe and parts of Amesca. L&M growth rate in 1996, although high at +23%, was much slower than in 1995 when the brand grew at +73%.
